I don't know how, I don't know when, but I need these kids to encounter each other again!! Time got away from me with the holidays but GOD their CR was so good and your voice is super spot on, it's like threads are secret extra episodes. Really interested in the sort of grey area of whether Sokka is a child or a Man tm - Vasiliy's coming from a culture without a real strong concept of the teenager, and he started work at around 7 years old, so in many respects I think he'd actually be able to offer that "You're grown and you need to make your own decisions and take on adult responsibilities" treatment Sokka wants...but while also kind of recognizing that he's not as much of an adult as himself. It'd definitely ring different than treatment from the NPCs. Also would love to have him learn more about the Southern Water Tribe/possibly find some degree of solidarity in the Extreme Cultural Minority experience, because he's definitely homesick and has been feeling isolated from his own people for a year now in a hostile place, even if he doesn't say it.

Oh man yes please!! I absolutely loved their thread so I'm really glad you enjoyed it too (and thank you for your kind words about how I play Sokka!). I am completely game for figuring out a way to throw them together again, and especially for digging into culture with the two of them. I loved how we were able to do a little bit of that in our tdm thread (and I also really enjoyed how Vasiliy assumed that Sokka is Chukchi), as Sokka's relationship to his culture is one of my favorite topics to explore with him, especially when it comes to his experiences traveling the world, at times having to pretend to be someone he isn't (Fire Nation), and now, having to assimilate in an environment/culture that's so far removed from everything he knows. I also really love cultural exchange in RP, too, two people from entirely different backgrounds being able to find a little solace in sharing their own cultures and traditions. So I am all for working toward a place where he tells Vasiliy more about the Southern Water Tribe and the two of them finding some solidarity! And I think Vasiliy giving him that "you can make your own decisions" treatment will definitely be a good kick-off point for them. All that to say, I think they have a lot of potential and I am really looking forward to developing it!
