Tagging habits/tagging speed: I try to tag back once a day at least, but sometimes I get busy and have to reply the following day.
Favorite types of characters to write against: Gimme all that angst, damaged goods, cranky old folks, but sometimes it's hilarious if he's just grunting and sulking at someone who's young and really upbeat/enthusiastic.
About you: I enjoy crafty things (crochet, painting, resin art, handsewing etc.) and I play a bit of guitar. I moved to America for work ~10 months ago and still feel like a tourist, but I do like some American things like country music and WWII propaganda posters. Sometimes I make icons over at squarebox.

1 paragraph summary of character/canon: James Buchanan Barnes (also known as Bucky) from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Disney+ series the Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The canon is much like real life, except with a lot of fantastical things happening (alien invasions, gods and celestial beings, killer robots, timey wimey alternate timelines and universes, magical stuff, superheroes and villains etc.) Bucky was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1918 and enlisted for WWII as a young man. In the mid-1940s he was captured by the Nazi-resembling organisation Hydra, successfully experimented upon with a supersoldier serum as a prisoner of war, and survived a fatal fall where he lost his left arm. Presumed dead and left behind, he was fitted with a replacement bionic arm, brainwashed and reprogrammed as a blank slate murdery tool for Hydra, lifespan artificially prolonged using cryogenetic technology until his childhood friend rescued him. He's been trying to do the right thing but also having bouts of recovering/drifting/relapsing/struggling ever since then.
“Family” members: None yet! I elected to wait until next round since I was going home for Lunar New Year and might not be around as much as I'd like until March.
Possible non-event hooks: He is very obviously missing his left arm so he might struggle with a few day to day things that other characters are welcome to offer to help him with. He will be prickly and insist he doesn't need help with anything, grumble and glare a lot, but be quietly appreciative. He is also freshly depowered and will be discovering the magical wonders of drinking himself to oblivion.
What are they up to in Sweetwater? Bucky will be settling in quietly whilst observing everyone and trying to figure out who is part of the town and who randomly woke up here like him. I guess at some point he will have a job so he'll be half-assing that too. He doesn't want any trouble, but trouble seems to find him anyway... so he will definitely be trying to buy a few guns and some knives. Also where the hell is his arm? He'll be on the lookout for the metal limb thief.

Most Desired CR: In no particular order!

• Drinking buddies, preferably not too chatty ones but he's not fussy.
  
• I had six tequilas and for the first time in 90 years they hit like a freight train all at once and... 'things' just sort of happened. Dealer's choice if this is something stupid, something dangerous, something sexy, or a combination of the three.
  
• Anyone who fought on any side in WWII, the Korean War or other 'period appropriate' conflicts.
  
• People who kind of secretly don't hate that this has happened and are happier with their fake white picket fence life than wherever they came from.
  
• If we tagged each other in the TDM and you'd like to keep some or all of what happened as game canon, I'd be happy to; let me know!

Undesired CR: Just to be clear, I am open to exploring these potential scenarios down the line, but not in the first few months. I would prefer for these things to happen organically, and just want to make sure we chat on plurk/PM beforehand so that everyone's on the same page:
1. any potential fallout from Bucky's former Nazi/Soviet affiliations. (I don't think he will be talking about it openly, so nothing should randomly come up at least!)
2. any 'extramarital' secret ~it's complicated~ things.
Any threads you really want to play out? Other than the above CR suggestions, nothing immediate comes to mind. There will be multiple breakdowns, some explosive and some quiet, but a lot of thread ideas are either domestic angsty things or longer term plans right now.

I would love to keep our TDM canon, if you're open to it! Maybe we can tweak what happened and say Sokka was snooping around, instead of having woken up in Bucky's place, but everything else happened? Sokka just wants to hang around a warrior sometimes (boomerang comments notwithstanding), learn about guns and cameras, and maybe get breakfast out of the deal again...

Awesome! I've really enjoyed our thread. We can just assume Bucky was a bit more wary about some teenager showing up and poking around but they could have done everything else for sure. When are they going to the shooting range :P

Looks like he won't be getting the breakfast in bed treatment anytime soon with his living arrangement lol so yea Bucky can totally spoil him every time he stops by.

I won't be gone until the end of January so happy to keep threading or jump on any new events :)

I've really enjoyed our thread also, so I'm really glad you want to keep their CR going! I'll for sure tag you back on the tdm thread (I've been a little tied up with holiday things but should be back to normal this weekend) and we can def look at leveraging upcoming events for continuing their CR! I'm also totally game for a shooting range thread (or handwaved experience) and I still think about Sokka and Bucky trying to booby trap a house so maybe an event will allow for something like that...If Sokka wants advice on how best to fortify his home, he's coming to Bucky

Teddy SHOULDN'T drink, but does that mean she WON'T drink? Pfft. She doesn't make as many terrible decisions as she used to, but... she's usually not waking up as suddenly someone's wife in 1960, either.

I am playing "surprise, pharmaceutical backdating!" with her because I'm mean I like doing research?? like way too much?? I can, so she will probably be drunk after like, two (whatever)s, but fairly happy either way to do stupid/dangerous/sexy/funny things, especially if it's right around "I've realized we are really fucked" (and before "I am actually really messed up about this"). If they were at home they'd be cheerfully playing wingman, but here that might not work so well [and being seen at a BAR drinking with a man who's not their husband is probably hugely scandalous too, but eh].

I love Bucky as a character, so I'm happy to just kind of push them at each other and see what happens. Scout says hello! They're both at a shooting range (is there a shooting range???)! Whatever!

(I'm also intrigued, but not in a "let's do this immediately" by how Teddy's temporal lobe epilepsy, if she talked about what that's like, might resonate with his own experiences of weird brain stuff, but ...again probably not a first time you meet kinda thing.)

I am not-so-lowkey-excited about the 'we had a few drinks and things just sort of happened' prompt soooo this is definitely a go! Especially with all the preceding angst and slow sinking 'oh god this is really happening' feeling. Or we can always just play the fallout during The Morning After when they wake up in a ditch somewhere, or a whole world of pain and trouble with the law, or some state of undress. I am okay with picking this up wherever and letting it go as it wants to go.

The Weird Brain Stuff can totally come after. The timeline can always be adjusted I think if she has an episode and he happens to be there. He will want to try and look out for her especially after their Things Just Sort Of Happened happens.

...if there is no shooting range we need to petition for a shooting range. Or just shoot at bottles at a backyard. They'll make it work!

I AM TOO. A+ idea. I'm good with either preceding angst and/or just fallout, but I'm kind of pro playing the whole thing out as long as it's not boring either of us. Or like, playing it in two separate sections: pt 1: angsty -> more just drunk drinking and pt 2: SHENANIGANS.
(I have no idea which option I want to go to, lol. We can play it out. It really could be any of the above, because Teddy is attracted to whatever gender, but dangerous and stupid is not out of her MO. State of undress does throw weird extramarital rumor mill stuff into the mix which I don't know if you want to deal with.

We could also go the route of them not actually remembering what happened the night before: given that both of them have reasons why they might not remember things anyway, I can see that either being entirely plausible and likely, or slightly distressing for them and not funny enough to lean into.)

Aww, I love that <3 Yeah, and like -- I have to figure out a way to make her seizures both present and not only ever plot-based. Maybe it'll be a die roll system or something based on where her seizure threshold should be. Who knows.

Yes! Oh my god. I need to know where their houses are in the neighborhood, haha. Andie already mentioned Wrench axe-throwing. If they end up neighbors or one of them has empty space behind the house they need to just take down part of the fence and have like. A little area for their ...totally wholesome stress-relieving activities.
