I am more of a Marvel girlie~ myself, and haven't yet seen The Batman, so I have a mild familiarity with The Riddler overall and absolutely no awareness of his characterization in that particular film. That said, I would be very interested in seeing what might develop between Edward and Wrench. Wrench is definitely the kind of character who manages to get sucked into other people's plans. He's lived most of his life acting as a henchman of sorts for people who are ostensibly more powerful — or at least more self-aware when it comes to their own plans. It definitely works better if he finds reasons to like the company of the person, but even if he doesn't, that's not exactly a non-starter. Especially if they have anything they can offer in return.
